An exciting opportunity to be part of the Kinship Team
Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up. Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here.
The council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us.
The Post
We are looking for an experienced social worker to join the fast-paced Kinship Care team within the LAC and permanency Service. The role involves the social worker to undertake Kinship assessments (Viability assessments, Special Guardianship Order assessments for Court and Connected Person(s) assessments for the Fostering panel), complete support plans for carers and monitor and support Private Fostering arrangements.
The Person
We are looking for a social worker who has experience of working with children and their families within a statutory setting. Experience in Fostering or Kinship work would be preferable. You will be a team player, sensitive and robust in your decision making, who can work autonomously and someone who is proficient in Microsoft office.
Closing date: 21 March 2022 (23:00)
