Trust Accountant

Our client is an independent, not-for-profit discretionary trust service, set up over 40 years ago.

We are now recruiting for an experience Trust Accountant to join them on a full time (37.5 hours per week) permanent contract. This role will be based at offices on Old Street, London with the ability to work flexibly from home some of the time.

As Trust Accountant, you will report to the Trust Director and can expect to work directly with each member of the small team.

You will also have the opportunity to deal directly with settlors and beneficiaries, trustees, and professional intermediaries. The role will involve all aspects of trust work and the role responsibilities in the job description are not exhaustive. They are intended to describe the general content and requirements for the performance of this job, and the role may include the undertaking of additional tasks as required.

The successful Trust Accountant will have experience of working within a trust department and demonstrable trust accounting and taxation knowledge. You will have experience of creating, revising and implementing processes and having outstanding IT skills, which should include being proficient with all Microsoft Office packages as well as CCH Central and Trusts Account (or similar software).

As Trust Accountant you will be able to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally across all levels.
