Description

If you enjoy young people and their families to achieve their full potential, then Swansea Council could be just the service for you.

This is an exciting time to join the organisation. Our core values of innovation, teamwork, caring, respect, enthusiasm and openness provide a real foundation for learning and supporting staff. Swansea has a culture which encourages leadership, innovation and creativity from its staff and we value and listen to our Children and Young People which is why their voices are central to how we deliver services.

We have a very clear vision in Swansea which is well understood by the current workforce, that vulnerable children and young people are safeguarded, live within permanent, stable, secure accommodation or with loving families (cared for by their birth family and within their community of origin whenever possible), which in turn provides opportunities for success and a content and healthy adulthood where they can fully participate in what society has to offer.

We are currently advertising for a 16+ Team Leader for our Bays + Service within Adolescent and Young People’s Services. You will be one of four manager’s with this area and will join an already strong, supportive and established team of manager’s.

As a new member of the team, you will be instrumental in developing the agenda for change as we’re due to undertake a systems review in the coming months to specifically look at the theme of transitions and this will be an opportunity for the you to be involved in shaping and redesigning the 16+ service to meet the needs of young people.

Swansea is a great place to live and work. It’s an innovative waterfront city at the heart of the wider Swansea Bay City Region. From stunning coastal scenery to tranquil parks, a thriving cultural scene to the best of modern city living, the city offers the best of all worlds.

For an informal discussion about this role and all that Swansea has to offer, please email Principal Officer, Jay McCabe [email protected]
