Description
The Appointee & Deputyship Team provides a stand-alone frontline service supporting vulnerable adults at risk who lack mental capacity with all aspects of their personal property and financial affairs regulated under the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
The post holder will support and advise vulnerable adults directly on a daily basis. The post holder will be involved in all aspects of the service user’s financial affairs including income, pensions, investments, property and business. The service user will be entirely dependent on the post holder and their actions including implementation of legal requirements to protect individuals and the Local Authority. The post holder must ensure the best interest of the service user is the primary objective relating to all work undertaken whilst adhering to all relevant legislation requirements.
To actively work with the Adult Safeguarding Team to ensure safeguards are in place to minimise the likelihood and effect of financial abuse of adults at risk throughout Powys.
