Hours: 39 weeks / 36 hours per week

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable person to work in our well-equipped and successful Faculty of Technology & Art who has experience of working with resistant materials. This position is to provide support to teaching staff and students ensuring materials are prepared for practical lessons, equipment and resources are properly maintained and all Health & Safety requirements are met.
Your School:
Kingsbury High is a large, split site, over-subscribed 11-18, mixed, multi-ethnic school. We are located in an attractive suburban location surrounded by parkland with excellent transport links to enable easy access from central London and fringe areas.
The Post:
The ideal candidate will be required to prepare, provide and return tools, equipment and materials as necessary, offering support in lessons, ordering stock and maintenance of workshops and stores. This post also encompasses an understanding of CAD (preferably 2D design), and knowledge of operating and cleaning Laser machinery.
In addition, the role will also provide administration support for the Faculty to ensure the smooth running of the day to day activities including data entry, photocopying and break and lunchtime duties.
School experience would be desirable but is not essential. Training in specialist equipment is desirable but training will be provided.
The Person:
- You will ideally have experience of working with children or young people.
- You must have good communication and literacy skills and be flexible in your approach.
- You must have the ability to relate to young people with a variety of learning needs.
- You will hold a current First Aid certificate or be willing to undertake First Aid training.
The appointee will be required to complete a six-month period of probation.
