Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Marketing and Communications team to handle all aspects of our social media and create engaging marketing campaigns to recruit and retain members, and promote our services. You’ll use your graphic design skills to create original content, will engage with external stakeholders to promote the BOA and contribute to the BOA being the voice of the orthopaedic profession.

Along with a passion for social media and communications, you’ll bring to this role, knowledge and experience of graphic design and copy writing. Ideally you would have experience of crisis communications. You’ll be representing the BOA at events throughout the UK so some travel is required for this role.

If you are a creative and proactive individual who has a keen interest in working for a small membership organisation with enthusiasm to deliver outstanding content, from business-as-usual to big campaigns, we would love to hear from you.

About you

  • At least 2 years social media experience at a professional level
  • Experience of designing marketing and social media assets
  • Good copy writing skills and excellent communication skills
  • Good analytical skills, able to organise and interpret data
  • A creative mind, thinking innovatively when it comes to social media and marketing campaigns
  • Proactive and enthusiastic, happy to get involved in a variety of activities
  • Team player, working well with teams across the organisation
  • Ready to get stuck in and capable of undertaking multiple projects at any one time
  • Able to establish good relationships with senior clinicians, expert advisors from the Council and subcommittees, and external stakeholders and organisations
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to achieve high standards of work with minimal supervision

What we can offer you

  • 25 days paid holiday + bank holidays and up to four additional Association closure days
  • Enhanced contributory pension scheme
  • Employee Assistance Scheme
  • Access to the Perkbox employee benefits and recognition platform

Please note - We will review applications as they are received and interview on a rolling basis. We encourage you to complete your application as soon as possible rather than wait until the closing date.

Application procedure:

Please submit a CV and covering letter. No agencies please.

We are fully committed to equality and diversity and will assess your application based on your experience, skills and suitability to the position only.
