Croydon Adult Social Care & Health is transforming, the commissioning function has recently joined the Directorate and there is a new Adult Social Care & Health strategy that will guide the way we support our residents with care needs, working with them to maximise their strengths and independence and safeguarding people from harm. Our large and varied provider market is critical and important in supporting us to do this.

Adult Social Care and Health forms part of the One Croydon Alliance bringing together partners of health and care, both providers and commissioners who are committed to an ambitious programme of improvement and change through our shared Health and Care Plan and Health and Wellbeing Strategy. Our strong and mature Alliance provides the bedrock for us to build on as we transition to an integrated Care system.

This role will contribute to our new Strategic Commissioning & Improvement function which will deliver our new commissioning framework and market development strategy to ensure we are working closely with voluntary sector partners and our social care market to deliver the next phase of the Croydon Renewal journey. We have an ambitious programme of transformation to deliver and this post will be at the heart of achieving this change.

We have made great progress to date and our Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) is on track. We need to build on this and ensure our commissioning models are evidence and outcomes based and co-production is at the heart of our commissioning practice.
We need to ensure the best value and quality services that we commission from the market that complement Adult Social Care and Health services and operational practice.

This is a permanent vacancy in our Mental Health Commissioning and Contracts team.
