KS2 SEN Teacher – SEN School - Sept 2022 – Hackney

A fantastically hardworking and inspiring SEN school in Hackney are looking for a new KS2 SEN Teacher to join their amazing team this September!

Clarus are working with an independent SEN School for young adults with special needs aged 5-19 and are looking for a KS2 SEN Teacher to join their distinct team of teachers and therapists.

The school offer academic and related services for students with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, learning disabilities and challenging behaviour to help them prepare for adulthood and develop independence throughout their time in school.

As a KS2 SEN Teacher in this school, you will immerse the student not only to instructions in academic subjects but also have opportunities for the students to participate in art, sports, indoor and outdoor recreates activities.

SEN Teacher – The Role:

• Provide active and fun lesson plans for KS2
• Provide positive reinforcements, praise and rewards to for young children.
• Modelling, within the class, support strategies designed to encourage and development.
• Attending relevant meetings and in-service training provided by the school.
• Consulting with parents regarding student support matters and responding to incidents of challenging behaviour.
• Writing reports that may occur due to student’s behaviour
• Permanent, full-time school-based contract
• Inner London pay scale MPS2/UPS - £32,157 - £46,971 + SEN allowance up to £4,479

SEN Teacher - The Person:

Mandatory requirements:

• Experience in working with SEN students
• UK QTS / PGCE qualification or equivalent
• Up to date enhanced DBS Desirable
• Experience in working with small classes
• Familiarity with the needs of autistic learners
• Flexibility and positive attitude
