Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw plus on call)

Salary £42,450 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus brilliant benefits!

This is an exciting opportunity to grow and shape our recently opened supported living service, Nicholas House in St Albans. As our Clinical Registered Manager, you’ll be supporting our customers to live happy and fulfilling lives. A compassionate and knowledgeable leader, you’ll develop our service to deliver high quality, cost effective and person-centred support in line with CQC Fundamental Standards and regulatory requirements.

Our service supports customers who are all young men (aged under 25) with various levels of learning disabilities to live independently in their own flat. Our customers have varying levels of learning disabilities with a huge amount of potential to develop their skills to be as enabled and independent as possible.

You’ll ensure that high quality person-centred care is delivered in a safe, effective, caring, and well-led way, in line with positive behavioural support and our Living Independently Feeling Enabled (LIFE) support practice model. With the highest levels of customer safety, you will support your customers to live as independently as possible, transforming lives and building independence. How amazing is that!

Using your clinical experience, you’ll lead all activity within the service as well as delivering regular mentoring and coaching to enhance the knowledge of your team. You will work alongside Risper our Deputy Manager, Rebecca our Positive Behavioural Support Practitioner and 7 PBS Team Leaders. Together you will unleash the potential of your team, so our customers always receive the highest standards of care! It would be great if you had CQC/Registered Manager experience, but not a problem if you don’t, as we’ll give you all the training you need.

A bit about you

It goes without saying that you’ll have a clinical qualification, however, if you haven’t been a Registered Manager before, we’re ok with thay as we’ll support you with this. You may have experience from being a Therapy Service Lead or Manager or worked as an LD Nurse or have qualifications in other clinical areas such as Positive Behavioural Support, Occupational Therapy or Speech and Language.

You’ll have a background of working with people who have complex support needs and learning disabilities. You’ll be a brilliant Operational Manager and able to support and unleash the potential of operational teams to work with customers through a person-centred approach. You’ll actively support skills development and team reflective practice. You’ll have an excellent understanding of relevant regulatory policies and procedures, including fundamental standards.

If you have an understanding of the Complex Care agenda, that would be fantastic as well as some experience in the practical application of Positive Behavioural Support. If not, don’t worry as our experienced team are on hand to support you alongside our brilliant learning programmes! This is a brilliant opportunity for you to grow and develop in the role.

We’ll need you to have a valid Enhanced Disclosure Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service, which we’ll pay for (if you don’t already have a transferrable one).
