Digital Learning and VLE Coordinator
We have an excellent opportunity for a creative and proactive individual to join the operational support team as Digital Learning and VLE Coordinator.
Position: Digital Learning and VLE Coordinator
Location: Working principally from home, flexibility will be required for occasional onsite working in Devon, currently estimated to be 1 day per week.
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Salary: £34,304 per annum
Contract: Permanent

The Role
As Digital Learning and VLE Coordinator, you will use your pedagogical, instructional design, and educational technologies expertise to work with employees across the charity to create visual storyboards that are the basis for designing and creating course activities, assessments, and wider digital content. Part of your role will be to contribute to the establishment of mechanisms for building transformational and engaging student-centred learning experiences to improve the lives of donkeys and mules. Such programmes will be set at a variety of different levels; up to and including degree level and will be delivered in a wide range of global environments. Using the Canvas Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and other relevant technologies you will develop innovative resources and approaches to support the Donkey Sanctuary worldwide.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Helping design creative learning resources that are both interactive and engaging
- Facilitating learning design workshops for staff, digital content production teams and stakeholders
- Collaborating closely with subject matter experts to design assessment tasks
- Supporting employees in their creative use of a wider range of available learning technologies
- Assisting employees in international settings to develop and implement online teaching and training programmes focused on donkey welfare
- Provide appropriate support to employees who will have significantly different levels of experience of learning technologies, digital tools, and online learning systems
- Horizon scanning for new innovations and best practice
- Maintaining and developing courses aimed at professional users globally, setting and delivering clear educational goals and ensuring educational outcomes are of the highest quality, effectiveness and relevance
