TRANSFORMING AUTISM CARE IN CORNWALL.

Adult Autism Intensive Support Team

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new service being established in Cornwall. This service will provide intensive/crisis support to people with autism who are at risk of a mental health admission/ or community placement breakdown.

We are seeking an innovative/creative individual to help form and lead this new autism intensive support team.

This is a county wide service commissioned to work with a maximum caseload of 20 people. The service will provide direct assessment and intervention, care co-ordination and consultation clinics.

The team will be based in the City of Truro which is fairly central within the County of Cornwall . Cornwall has many breathtakingly beautiful beaches and has one of the most stunning coastlines in the UK . It also has layers of artistic, educational and culture opportunities.

The MDT will consist of consultant psychiatry, nursing, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy , psychology, support worker and administrative staff.

Our aim is to have a whole team approach. We will work to support the whole person and their family and care providers. We will work across many sectors/systems.
