Science KS3-5 Teacher - Reading Independent Secondary School - September Start

Pay Scale: M1 - M6.

Location: Reading

This lovey 11-18 Independent School in Reading are looking for an Experienced or Early Career Teacher of Secondary to lead Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5. This will encompass teaching mixed science at key stage 3, with the Secondary specialism in KS 4 and 5 in one subject. The Head Teacher has asked that it be stressed that there is a co-planning approach to managing work load across the Science department, along with an encouraging approach to freedom of planning from Senior Leadership.

You will have the opportunity to lead mainstream lessons across key stage 3 and 4, with options to lead key stage 5 lessons if you have the desire to teach A-Levels. There will be the opportunity to lead SEN Purple Pathway lessons should this be an area the successful applicant be interested in, but there is not an expectation. It is expected that you will be comfortable deploying support staff and incorporate their skill sets into planning.

This school has been recently renovated, with dedicated staff parking, access to protected bike racks, and has a commitment to socialisation within the school through school sponsored termly nights out.
