Description

Location: Moorgate, London/ Remote*
Contract type: 12-month fixed term contract
Salary: £25,000 - 30,000 per annum (plus London weighting)

We're looking for an innovative and forward-thinking designer to join our in-house content team and craft communications to our lovely supporters. With some solid experience under their belt, they should be confident in designing engaging content that nails the brief - whether that's to raise money, share information, or simply build a relationship with a supporter. Sound good? Keep scrolling…

What you will be doing
You'll produce high-quality design work to brief across various materials - anything from mail packs and print ads, to digital campaigns over email and socials - to engage our current supporters, creating strong and dynamic creative from conception to production and ensuring that all designs are in line with our brand guidelines. You'll be able to interpret a brief and provide creative solutions that makes them feel proud to be part of our movement and inspires action.

Through your design work, you'll also be inspiring new people to join us. This is a significant moment in time. With the world increasingly pushing people into crisis, the Red Cross has never been needed more - your skill will be crucial in driving people to support us and keep our life-changing work going.

*This exciting role offers flexible working between home and our London head office in Moorgate.

This role might be for you if…
You're a well-rounded graphic designer who has a portfolio that demonstrates a wide range of skills working across both digital and print, who enjoys collaboration and creative problem solving. We'll be relying on your creative design skills and keen eye for detail, but we'd also love to work with someone who isn't afraid to bring fresh ideas to the table.

Being able to jump from one priority to another is a must. Your proactiveness will allow you to keep on top of a busy schedule, and your flexibility will help you when that schedule ends up going out the window, and we need to launch an emergency appeal for a disaster that has struck.

You'll bring and build on your previous experience and excellent design skills from the industry, either in-house or agency, ideally gained through working with NGO or non-profit clients. You'll have 2-3 years of experience and you'll be no stranger to a thriving as part of a busy (and brilliant) content team.

Your excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Mac OS and strong understanding and experience in current graphic design practices and production will help you confidently slot into our team and get stuck in.
