We seek to appoint a highly capable senior leader to guide the strategic direction and manage day-to-day operational matters for the Sixth Form. The Assistant Head (Sixth Form) holds a key position within the School.

The Assistant Head (Sixth Form) will ensure the ongoing development of outstanding post-16 provision at Streatham & Clapham High School, along with strong Sixth-Form recruitment, both internally and externally. This will include the academic direction and monitoring of Sixth-Form students’ learning: their performance, the successes of the academic programme, and the day-to-day running of the Sixth Form. Effective provision of these will be built on a foundation of excellent pastoral and co-curricular care, in which the successful candidate will play a central role.

The school has first-class facilities for learning, providing an environment that enables students to develop their interests and strengths both inside and outside the classroom. In 2017, the school occupied a stunning state-of-the art sixth-form centre on a new floor on the main building, which constituted the first phase of the £13 million building project.

The successful candidate will be ambitious and aspirational for all students, with the clear ability to motivate and inspire through charisma and attention to detail, demanding excellence as a habit. This role will provide a first-rate platform for application to Deputy Headships at leading schools in due course.
