YMCA DownsLink Group’s Transitional housing delivers supported accommodation for young people between the ages of 18 and 35 across East Sussex. Our service offers support to young people who are almost ready to move to independent living and are learning the final tenancy related skills they will need to thrive.

The Role

Do you have a flair for supporting and inspiring young people to achieve their goals? Do you enjoy working in an exciting, fast-paced environment, have a sense of humour and the drive and determination to develop and deliver an outstanding service?

We are looking for a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) Project Manager to manage our creative and supportive team of project staff. You will be an enthusiastic and determined Project Manager who can work alongside our Head of Operations to oversee this service and lead the team to ensure effective delivery. You will ensure that your team delivers and uses Psychologically Informed Environment practices, Trauma-Informed Approaches and Restorative Practice. An important part of the role is working closely with the Safeguarding Team to ensure high standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice in our services, ensuring staff observe safeguarding policies and procedures and keep themselves and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries. .

Your expected working pattern will be Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. This role is based across East Sussex with office bases in Eastbourne and St Leonards on Sea, with hybrid working involving a combination of working from home and on site.

Who You Are

You will have solid experience of working in supported housing, or similar services for young people and/or adults at risk, delivering objectives and targets. You will be confident managing and/or supervising a team and have experience creating or maintaining psychologically informed environments, and overseeing the delivery of trauma informed care and support. You will already have experience of coordinating housing management tasks including contract compliance, maintenance, void/arrears management, and health & safety.

You will be passionate about supporting young people at risk, with ability to successfully manage challenging situations whilst remaining calm and solution focused.You will already have experience in managing consistent standards in safeguarding, child protection and or protection of vulnerable adults, and knowledge of issues affecting vulnerable children, young people and adults.
