Description

Lincoln Performing Arts Centre (LPAC) is a contemporary arts organisation at the heart of the city of Lincoln, owned and operated by the University of Lincoln, and falling under the remit of its College of Arts.

The College has recently undertaken a wide-ranging strategic review of LPAC’s purpose and business model, repositioning LPAC as a development hub and production house, a teaching resource, research partner and creative space for the University that operates as an Arts Centre in conjunction with the Project Space Plus gallery.

We wish to appoint a passionate individual with a collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset to take forward the new vision for LPAC. We are seeking an Executive Director who will bring a fresh and engaging approach to the artistic programme and the work of LPAC. You will establish LPAC as a dynamic cultural focus for the University campus and wider community, providing a home for the creative arts and creativity in its widest sense and serving as a catalyst for innovation and learning. You will build an artistic programme that supports and showcases the diversity of courses offered by the School of Fine & Performing Arts, the College of Arts and other parts of the University.

The Executive Director will bring a nurturing and entrepreneurial flair to building new partnerships and sources of income to fund new commissions. They will engage with work that explores new types of cultural practice and new forms of cultural content and multidisciplinary research projects centred on but not confined to the performing arts. This is also the opportunity to set up and develop Associate Artists and Companies from across a range of disciplines

Interested candidates are invited to apply by using the apply button and uploading a letter of interest setting out relevant experience and qualifications in response to the candidate pack and the person specification along with an accompanying CV. Contact details for two relevant references should also be included. Submissions should be no more than 5 A4 PDF sheets.

For further details or an informal conversation about this exciting opportunity contact Andrew Westerside, Head of School & Associate Professor, Lincoln School of Fine and Performing Arts [email protected]
