Are you an experienced Project Lead? Do you have a passion for supporting people who are, or have experienced Domestic Abuse and have housing needs?

Through the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 New Burdens Grant, Bedford Borough Council have created an exciting new position, which will enable us to progress our statutory duties under the Act.

As the Domestic Abuse & Housing Project Lead Officer, you will be responsible for leading on, and delivering a range of projects related to domestic abuse and housing that have come about from our Strategy to Address & Reduce Domestic Abuse 2021-26 and our identified spending plan.

You will be an organised, experienced project lead who is able to communicate with a variety of audiences and work on your own initiative to achieve our outcomes. You will be involved in the commissioning and procurement of new services and reviewing their effectiveness through collation of data and feedback.

This will be a hybrid role where your time will be split between remote working and Borough Hall. The post may involve travelling to other local venues and occasionally around the County.

This post is initially offered on a 1 year fixed term contract with a view to extending the contract dependant on future grant funding.
