Based in the heart of Cambridge, St Catharine’s College is looking to appoint a full time Porter to join our friendly Porters’ Lodge team, providing a first class porter service for our college community.

The College Porter Service

The Porters’ Lodge is an important, focal point for information and assistance for the whole college community, including visitors. In many instances, the Lodge is the first experience visitors have to the College and we pride ourselves on delivering a friendly, professional and efficient reception service whilst also ensuring college properties are kept secure and health and safety matters are managed effectively, 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.

Working arrangements

The full time hours for this post are 37.5 hours per week, to be worked on a 24-hour shift rota basis, including days, evening, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays.

Some flexibility is required to cover team absence or College events.
