This role is part of a team of professionals servicing approximately 200 employers, 50,000 members and managing investment assets of over £2.7bn. We care about members receiving their pension benefits on time and in full.

About the role

In this role, you’ll be working on a wide remit of impactful assignments from general ledger journals to notes to the accounts. You’ll be an independent worker who wants to see a job done well and knows the value of starting sooner rather than later. This proactive mindset will be supported by management oversight, but your expectation will be to correct, amend and update the Pension Fund’s working papers.

While much of your role will see you working under your own initiative, once a project is scoped out, you will also eventually be expected to support others. Therefore, we’re looking for someone with people skills as well as excellent excel skills.

In return, you’ll be exposed to different stakeholders and have visibility over the whole ledger – which is quite unusual! We’re looking for someone whose ambition is to develop into the next CIPFA-qualified Pension Fund Accountant, and we are willing to spend time developing the right candidate.
