NHS Resolution wishes to appoint an Independent Advisor to its recently formed People Committee. The appointment is for two years and would start immediately.

Our People Committee is a sub-committee to The Board and provides guidance and oversight on all strategic NHS Resolution people and organisational development matters. It holds the organisation to account for the delivery of our strategic people plans. The Independent Advisor to the People Committee would sit alongside existing members who comprise members of the Executive Team, and Non-Executive Directors.

NHS Resolution is changing – we’re growing; adapting the ways we work and the changes to our operating model and underpinning technologies will impact on our people.

Our People Committee seeks an experienced, senior people leader, with strong demonstrable experience of leading Human Resources, Organisation Development and Talent Management functions. We are looking for someone able to provide guidance and advice in relation to the transformation, gained from first-hand experience but very much focussed on our organisation; around our people, technology, processes and the ways we work together. Ideally, the Independent Member will be Chartered FCIPD, hold a senior level qualification in a people related subject and able to demonstrate a strong interest in and experience of delivering people related strategies.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • senior, current experience as a people director in a large, established organisation, with strong focus on developing people strategies and delivery led/implemented large scale change programmes and/or transformation programmes. experience of implementing new way of working/operating models. developing largescale organisational design which focus of future demands, skills and experience a strong interest in providing focus and measuring successes in setting long term strategies and plans around workforce, culture, transformation and change contemporary HR and people best practice, benchmarked across various sectors and organisations, underpinned by best fit IT solutions an ability to analyse complex and sometimes conflicting data, including financial data, and to draw balanced conclusions from information presented
  • an objective viewpoint with the ability to challenge effectively but constructively first class team-working skills and the willingness to work in a corporate manner to help NHS Resolution achieve its objectives The successful candidate will also be expected to possess or develop an understanding of: NHS Resolution’s objectives and strategic priorities; NHS Resolution’s structure and relationships with its key stakeholders.

Please note that previous NHS experience is not required for this role.

The Independent Advisor role could be delivered on a ten day per annum secondment where the individual is keen to build on their wider sector understanding and/or for corporate social responsibility.
