We have incredible opportunities for communications professionals to join our team, and there has never been a more exciting time to join us!
We’re the new home of Channel 4’s 24 Hours in A&E, one of the biggest acute hospital Trusts in the country, and have over 17,000 staff, and we’re looking for new recruits to our growing communications and engagement team.
Due to internal progression, an exciting role is now available, which requires a communications expert, preferably with events experience, to manage our staff awards. This includes an annual awards ceremony, along with events throughout the year. It also includes creating a standout video which showcases at the annual ceremony – this means going behind the scenes and seeing super interesting work (you might even have to don some scrubs!), working with sponsors, suppliers and a variety of stakeholders to shine a light on the fantastic things happening day in day out across our hospitals.
We also have the opportunity for a #CommsHero to be the Communications Manager for the improvement works happening across our organisation. Applicants should have solid experience in all fields of communications, and will be managing two team members who will be handling project-based communications matters across the spectrum of internal, external (including media) and digital communications - ensuring that the Communications Team works in partnership with its clinical and operational support areas, responding to needs in a timely way.

Working in Communications and Engagement at NUH
No two days are the same in our busy team - as well as playing a central role in promoting our hospitals you will be helping us deliver the information our staff need to do their jobs well, and supporting the organisation to achieve its ambitions. You’ll need to be comfortable talking to people and gathering stories of the fantastic work we do. You must also have good attention to detail, and an ability to deliver in a challenging and fast-paced NHS communications environment - multi-tasking and managing projects.

The roles will be a fast-paced and challenging, working in one of the top five biggest NHS teaching Trust’s in the country. You will play a key role in the Communications Team ensuring that we deliver a quality driven, innovative and customer focused communication service consistent with Trust’s aims and objectives in a manner commensurate with the profession.
