Summary

Historic England have a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as our Senior Procurement Manager (Project Specialist). You will have the opportunity to leave lasting legacy by leading and developing the refreshed procurement team, from basic structure to a model which successfully engages and empowers all business areas to achieve best value for public money.

We need you to join us and bring your expert management, guidance and steer to support us enabling Historic England to implement new policy and procedures in line with the Procurement reform bill, our Climate Change net zero project, as well as embedding Social Value in to the core of our procurement.

What you will be doing:

We need you to lead the development of procurement policy in order to deliver commercial and social value for Historic England and its stakeholders, ensuring compliance with Procurement Reforms.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering Historic England`s approach to the requirements of the Public Contract Regulations (PCR) and associated Cabinet Office and DCMS requirements to ensure Historic England meets the procurement requirements of its DCMS Management Agreement.

You will represent Historic England on the DCMS Commercial Forum, assessing the implications of forthcoming changes and working with the Procurement Senior Manager to plan Historic England`s approach to compliance.

You will be responsible for developing Historic England`s approach to procurement in respect to climate change, working in close collaboration with staff across Historic England and the wider sector.

Who we are looking for:

-Excellent verbal and written communication.
-Experience of using an electronic tendering
-Proven experience of managing outsourced contracts.
-Creates and maintains strong supplier and customer relationships.
-Focused on delivering projects to targets and deadlines, personally and as a team.
-Confident in interpreting and drawing conclusions from large data sets.
-Applies logical and critical thinking to develop effective solutions to issues.
