Interim Adoption Manager - England - Competitive Rates

Here at Hampton's we are working in EXCLUSIVE partnership with one of the UK's leading adoption charities that provides support, community and advocacy for all those whose lives are affected by adoption. Our highly valued client is looking to recruit for a highly experienced and knowledgeable Interim Adoption Support Manager who will be the Registered Manager and safeguarding lead for their prestigious service.

Our client's carefully planned strategy firmly puts the emphasis on enabling those lives that involve adoption to access the connections, support and influence that they well and truly deserve with high success rates over the past 50 years. As part of this role, you will be instrumental in engaging with the professional service managers to ensure the smooth-running of the well-established charity - is this an organization that you would like to be a part of?

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing operational delivery of services to ensure these meet best practice and Minimum National Standards
  • To have regulatory oversight of all aspects of service delivery across England
  • As the safeguarding lead, participating in a safeguarding cover rota and liaising with key safeguarding staff across the organisation to ensure all policies and procedures reflect the Safeguarding policy of the organisation and that all staff receive annual training updates in this area
  • Drafting regular Adoption Support Agency compliance reports, for the Board of Trustees and Ofsted, as indicated by the registration type of the charity
  • High levels of engagement with service managers across England and beyond to ensure organisational consistency
  • Chairing the quarterly Quality Assurance meetings

Skills and Experiences:

  • Professional qualification relevant to working in an adoption setting- either NVQ level 4 or DipSW or an equivalent professional social work qualification
  • At least two years' experience of working in an adoption setting which may include managing an adoption support agency
  • Understanding of policy, development and research in relation to adoption
  • Evidence of ability to influence policy and practice and to promote offer to key stakeholders
