Head of IT Infrastructure
As Head of IT Infrastructure you will lead and be responsible for the strategic direction, delivery and ongoing support of the internal systems and services used by the Charity to deliver on its mission to support disabled children and their families.
- Lead, Manage and take a hands on approach, be responsible for the delivery of all IT systems, applications (in-house and 3rd party), network, infrastructure, data centres (3rd party) and security.
- Apply IT Service Management and Change Management practices to proactively analyse risks (feeding into the overall risk management of the charity) and eradicate them through agreed service improvement plans.
- Manage specific IT projects needed to deliver on the IT strategy based on agreed business case proposals to ensure effective usage and compliance with security policies
- Implement the appropriate processes, training, skills, and support for team members to allow for efficiency and development of the team
- Newlife makes extensive use of IT in the delivery of its services and is currently embarking on a digital transformation project, migrating several services into the cloud. Further projects will be required to develop the services need to support us.
Head of IT Infrastructure Requirements
They are looking for an experienced IT professional who can lead the IT function during a period of change as they look to strengthen the use of technology and ensure that they have suitable resources to deliver, either in-house or through the use of partners and outsourcing.
Applicants will need to have both managerial as well as strong technical experience across solutions, support, infrastructure, and networks. You should have good change management experience and knowledge of ITSM and ITIL.
As they use many 3rd party solutions and service providers you will need to be able to demonstrate strong relationship skills as well as working with our various in-house teams.
They're looking for an ambitious and dedicated IT professional to play a critical part in shaping the overarching technology strategy to support the charity to achieve its ambitions and deliver its strategy. Implementing robust processes, and new service delivery models and playing a key role in IT strategy decision making.

The income is generated by both fundraising and retail stores. The stock is new and donated by retailers, allowing them to create a heaven for bargain hunters and savvy fashionista shoppers who want high street products at discount prices.
Location: Cannock, Staffordshire with travel to other sites
