Description
This is an exciting time to join an ever-expanding service, where Swansea Council undertakes a transition from EU funded programmes to a range of external funding and investment opportunities that support the delivery of our Economic Regeneration ambitions, corporate priorities and vision for Swansea.
This post is situated within the Economic Development and External Funding Team, part of the Planning and City Regeneration Division. Reporting to the External Funding Manager the post holder will work alongside the existing External Funding Officers in providing grant and project support expertise to support the implementation of a number of European and Externally Funded Programmes and Projects. Projects include; LEADER Rural Development Plan (EAFRD), Targeted Regeneration and Investment Programme (TRIP), Hafod Copperworks Project (HLF), Workways+, Communities for Work, Cynnydd, Gower Landscape Partnership, Building for the Future (ERDF), The Kingsway (ERDF), amongst other schemes operating in the City and County of Swansea.
Duties will include the collation and interpretation of financial and monitoring information, the preparation and submission of quarterly European and external grants and monitoring claims, ensuring that these are undertaken in accordance with project spend profiles. Ideally candidates should have a background in project support, accountancy or finance but the role will allow the post holder to advance their current skillset.
Two full time posts at 37hrs are being advertised on a temporary contract until 31st March 2023, initially. Posts are part-funded by the European Structural and Investment Funds through the Welsh Government and the Heritage Lottery Fund.
