Introduction to the project
You will be part of a transformative programme to deliver real change and improvement to mental health services for individuals in Bolton. Its aim is to design a service that sits around individuals to support their health and wellbeing.
The role
You will manage a team of paid and unpaid peer mentors, proving line management and supervision support. You will work in partnership with the community, partners and key stakeholders and contribute to the ongoing development of team working by sharing learning, and by listening and responding to feedback from people who use the service, contributing thoughts and ideas to team discussion.
About you
- Experience of working in a mental health setting and understanding of the impact that a mental health condition can have on daily living
- Experience of working alongside individuals to achieve positive outcomes and lasting impact
- Experience of supporting staff and volunteers through coaching, mentoring, training and supervision
- Understanding of individual motivations for volunteering and the ability to work with people to ensure that these motivations are met through their volunteering work
- Experience of risk management and safety planning
- Experience of working collaboratively with partner organisations
- Understanding of and commitment to co-production
- Knowledge and understanding of Equality and Diversity
