The Football Association [The FA] is the not-for-profit governing body of football in England. It is responsible for promoting and developing every level of the game, from grassroots through to the professional game, and generates significant revenue to support investment into English football each year.

The FA oversees England international teams across men's, women's, youth and disability football, as well as running the National League System and FA Competitions including the Emirates FA Cup, Barclays FA Women's Super League, FA Women's Championship, and Vitality Women's FA Cup, and the world-class facilities of Wembley Stadium and St. George's Park, all with a purpose to Unite the Game and Inspire the Nation.

The Role

This role is responsible for the creation, management and oversight of a proactive communications strategy and messaging for the Wembley Stadium Division.

Working closely with the internal Wembley Stadium Team and wider internal and external stakeholders, this role will also raise awareness of events and ticket sales, improve customer experiences from sofa to seat and promote Club Wembley hospitality packages.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage, plan, co-ordinate and deliver integrated PR campaigns and communications plans to promote the stadium's key objectives and support Wembley Stadium events, hospitality, milestones and key moments
  • Play a central role in Wembley Stadium's 100 year anniversary working group, identifying a communications and integrated marcomms approach to celebrate the stadium's anniversary
  • Work in partnership with our internal FA Communications team to ensure the management and delivery of the Stadium's press office , including production of media materials e.g. press releases, briefing documents and media guides
  • Manage a multitude of filming requests for the stadium
  • Provide the internal FA Communications team and other key stakeholders with a primary point of contact to ensure all relevant stadium news is delivered to staff
  • Appoint and manage PR agencies where relevant to support communications campaigns
  • Manage relationship with Research & Insights to ensure effective and timely reporting of sentiment, awareness and any other necessary measures associated with events at Wembley Stadium
  • Manage internal relationship with FA Content team (editorial, social, FATV, photography) to ensure maximum output across FA channels for all events
  • Work closely with other FA teams to identify the stadium's role to achieve joint organisational goals and ensure success of event delivery
  • Develop and maintain trusted working relationships with wider internal and external stakeholders
  • Produce presentations and reports where appropriate
  • Provide on-site support to the Wembley Stadium Director, Head of Departments and all operational teams during event days on all communication matters
  • Provide regular out-of-hours media support to ensure The FA is available and accountable at all times
  • Execute additional tasks as required in order to meet FA strategic priorities
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.
