Our client is looking for a Stewardship Manager to lead the continued development of stewardship activities on environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues, aligned with their strategic priorities and investment objectives.

Reporting to the Head of Responsible Investment, you’ll continue to develop and execute our clients stewardship plan to support key strategic priorities and investment objectives across asset classes. This includes engaging with management teams of their holdings on ESG issues, either directly or through collaborative initiatives and managing the oversight of voting activities. You will manage some of their key strategic stewardship relationships, including their third-party voting and engagement provider, and manage stewardship reporting and disclosure to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including the UK Stewardship Code, TCFD recommendations and other reporting frameworks.

As their Stewardship Manager, they'd like you to have prior experience of working in a Responsible Investment, ESG or stewardship/corporate governance role, ideally at a fund manager, broker, or engagement provider. You’ll demonstrate an excellent understanding of ESG issues, responsible investment, and regulations, and have a proven track record of engaging company boards and senior management on material issues.

A pro-active, self-motivated team player, you’ll have the ability to manage a large workload and multiple competing deadlines and have strong communication skills with the ability to influence and build positive and productive working relationships. A qualification in Professional Investment or Stewardship/Corporate Governance is desirable.
