Our client, a national performing arts centre, is a magnificent 7.5 acre site on Cardiff's regenerated waterfront. Through homegrown productions, learning hubs, theatre, cabaret, and engagement with young people, they celebrate and champion Welsh language, artists and bilingual performances to fire the imagination for all.
About the role:
You'll develop meaningful, long-term relationships with individuals who want to support our client through membership, major gifts and legacies.
Leading on creative communications, in-person engagement and relationship management with a warm list of current supporters, as well as developing campaigns and propositions to acquire new supporters giving at all levels.
This role offers huge scope for growth and development, whether that's learning new skills in philanthropy or gaining experience of line management. Whilst this is an initial 12-month contract, you'll have the opportunity to showcase what you can achieve with a view to creating a new opportunity in the team for someone demonstrates their value.
There's a flurry of activity to talk to donors about, including a soon-to-be-announced our client production that will show in Wales and at a major London venue, and an innovative community engagement programme for young people designed to develop storytelling skills and nurture creativity in later life.
There are also major changes coming for the centre's public spaces, including a new bar/café, revamped VIP lounge, cabaret space, and new creative makerspaces.
About the person:
- You're a confident and polished communicator, able to develop income through targeted, creative communications and relationship development.
- You're likely to have previous experience in fundraising, or transferable skills from membership, marketing, communications or business development.
- Knowledge and experience of CRM systems means you understand how data informs and nurtures audience engagement.
- You're a strategic thinker with the ability to identify new opportunities and innovative fundraising activity.
- You build rapport quickly and are able to use these skills to grow long-term relationships.
