Development and Alumni Relations (DARO) is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Assistant Director (Philanthropy).
The successful candidate will lead a team of senior managers with the aim of increasing philanthropic funding to the University through the strategic engagement of alumni and non-alumni globally. They will have a personal portfolio of high-value prospects and will work closely with the Director, the Board of the Queen’s Foundation and with the US Friends Board. They will provide input into the University’s Corporate Plan and provide expert advice to academics and senior managers regarding philanthropic fundraising in support of institutional priorities.
You will be responsible for developing and delivering the Directorate’s overall fundraising strategy to support the University’s institutional objectives. Alongside the Director of Development and Alumni Relations, the Assistant Director will be responsible for growing the philanthropic performance of DARO from £4million new funds secured per annum to at least £10million new funds secured per annum over the next five years. You will also play a crucial role in developing the long-term strategy for philanthropy throughout Queen’s University Belfast.
