Our projects are typically short and sharp, providing the opportunity to gain a variety of experience across sectors and/or engagement types, whilst continuously learning and developing. You'll work on client projects in teams of varying sizes, coaching less experienced team members. You will be interacting with clients and operating closely with senior members of the team, this combination of responsibility and senior support provides individuals with significant development opportunities.
Technology Strategy professionals bring a unique mixture of business and technology expertise to develop strategic plans that define how technology can create value for an organisation or in a deal situation. Working at the intersection of business and technology, these strategists work alongside client leadership to define holistic strategies that combine business objectives with technology opportunities. Technology Strategy professionals must maintain deep knowledge of evolving trends and the latest advancements in technology, strategy, and management to develop innovation solutions and approaches. These professionals understand best practices and will work to define strategies that may include governance, organisation structure and staffing, enterprise architecture models, business capability models, process definitions, and enterprise operating models. At their core, Technology Strategy professionals identify the most important client issues or opportunities and maximise value by conducting rigorous analysis and developing strategic plans to address issues and/or seize opportunities.
We are looking for suitable candidates in areas of
IT Value Strategy: shaping the direction of IT to align the overall shareholder and business vision and objectives and drive measurable improvements
New Technology Disruption: exploring new and emerging technologies to create a vision of how technology will shape the future and invent the next wave of cutting-edge business solutions
CIO Strategy / IT Operating Model: shaping how the IT function will need to operate to achieve the New IT and stakeholder objectives and workforce talent strategy
Enterprise Architecture Strategy: developing the foundation for client business and technology capabilities and execution improvement
CDO Strategy: defining the future data landscape within client organisation and data operating models including analytics strategy, outlining usage and effectiveness of Artificial Intelligence
Typical duties include:
Leading a team of consultants and taking responsibility for project proposal and delivery
Running projects on a day-to-day basis, structuring and managing the work streams and supervising delivery
Coordinating with key project stakeholders including clients and other internal teams
Planning initial hypotheses and analysis; formulating initial hypotheses based on previous experience, knowledge of the sector and understanding of the scope of work
Storyboarding to present a compelling narrative to the client
Developing the approach to address the project brief, and driving research and analysis with appropriate tools and techniques
Contribute to the development of various service offerings, practice thought leadership, and body of knowledge
Coach and develop team members
Contributing to the wider business through business development, knowledge sharing, coaching and mentoring junior team members and other activities
Our team is primarily based in the London Bridge office, with c. 40-50% of time spent on client sites, typically throughout the UK and Europe.
Requirements:
Previous strategy consulting experience from either a strategy consulting firm or the strategy or technology function in a corporate
Strong technical skills and 5+ years experiences in at least 2 of those following areas;
IT Value Strategy
Technology Disruption and Innovation
IT Operating Model
Digital Strategy
Cloud Strategy
Enterprise Architecture Strategy
Data Strategy
Ability to multi-task effectively and balance time between project delivery and business development support effectively
Good client management skills, including an understanding of how to communicate with clients of different backgrounds and opinions
Proven experience of coaching junior team members
Evidence of contributing to the wider team and leading on business development opportunities
We expect candidates to have an outstanding academic track record
Fluency in another (European) language is an asset
