WhoFoundWho are supporting an outstanding community focused Primary school in Wandsworth which is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team either ASAP for the remainder of this term, continuing into September 2022 or from September 2022.
The School
This school is a vibrant 2 form entry Primary School located in Wandsworth, South-West London which has great transport links with both the Northern Line and Overground nearby. The school reflects the community that it is part of, with many children coming from diverse backgrounds. In each year group there is a 3rd Teacher who works alongside both class teachers to help facilitate greater differentiation through the curriculum. SEN children really benefit from the smaller class sizes and more focused teaching. The school are committed to giving all their children every opportunity to achieve the highest standards.
The Role
The school is looking for a resilient, calm, and innovative SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in Year 4 with ADHD and Autism. This role is great for anyone that’s aspiring to become a psychologist as you get to work closely with the SENCO and visiting Education Psychologist. The last candidate placed in this role gained so much experience, they secured an Assistant Psychologist role off the back of it. You will ideally already have experience working with SEND children and are confident handling challenging behaviours and have a true passion for working with children.
