Description

If you enjoy supporting children and their families to achieve their full potential, then Swansea Council could be just the service for you. We are currently looking to recruit a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our newly developing Early Help Service. You will become part of a diverse and multi-disciplinary hub structure that has responsibility for meeting the wellbeing needs of vulnerable children, young people and their families, who are exposed to a variety of risk factors.

The role will undertake supporting young people who require support around their emotional health and wellbeing needs, ensuring that the wellbeing needs of all young people are supported utilising a Signs of Wellbeing Practice Framework.

The post will manage and maintain a case load of young people, who you will work with on a one to one basis, provide group support or 'drop in' support as part of the offer of support, depending on the needs of the young person. You will work closely with a range of services especially our partners within Education and CAHMS. You will act as a single point of contact for vulnerable young people and their families who require support to prevent emotional and wellbeing worries or needs from becoming more serious and/or entrenched, by providing consistent and creative support to help build resilience and independence.

The Early Help Hub Service, is seeking to develop bi-lingual opportunities, and candidates who can communicate through the medium of Welsh are strongly encouraged to apply.

For an informal discussion about this role please contact Sue Peraj on 01792 635400.

An Enhanced Criminal Record Disclosure, Health Check and satisfactory references are required for these posts.
