Team Leader – After School Club Playwork

Part-time, 30 hours per week, permanent contract
Starting salary: Band 4 / NJC Spinal Point 21-25 / £26,975 – £30,095 p.a. pro rata

Our client takes their responsibilities towards their staff very seriously. They offer continuing staff development and encourage on-going training. They work to ensure all staff feel part of and contribute to the wider organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our client’s exceptional service. They are looking for an experienced, motivated, and highly skilled professional to lead their staff team in day-to-day operations, ensuring the delivery of high quality, inclusive, open access play opportunities within Ofsted standards.

You will be responsible for:

- Leading a staff team of Play Workers to deliver safe, inclusive, and fun after school and holiday provision
- Ensuring each session is well resourced and operates within Ofsted’s Early Years Foundation Stage, with health and safety and safeguarding measures in place
- Building on our client’s excellent relationships with school staff, children and their carers, and the wider local community

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

- Experience in a supervisory role and managing staff
- A relevant professional qualification in childcare or play work (minimum requirement NVQ level 3)
- Exceptional motivation to provide high quality after school and holiday provision to children of working parents and children who may present with complex behavioural needs
