Description
Bradford has been named as UK City of Culture 2025. Our vision is to use arts and culture to fuel the social, economic and creative renaissance of our district; to make Bradford one of the most welcoming places in the UK where artists, producers, audiences and creative entrepreneurs can flourish.
We are looking for an outstanding Executive Director to lead on the delivery of Bradford UK City of Culture 2025, in partnership with our Creative Director.
You will have proven experience of leading diverse and complex cultural activities with excellent project management skills to develop high-impact and high-quality cultural programmes.
Ensuring the highest standards in creative and management practice, the role will recruit and lead Bradford 2025’s marketing, financial management, HR and administrative teams.
You will bring excellent entrepreneurial, leadership and communication skills – drawing the very best from colleagues, agencies and a wide range of regional, national and international stakeholders.
Bradford 2025 will be led by an executive team comprising Executive Director and Creative Director. One of these roles will also hold the position of CEO of the Trust, and this will be agreed on appointment.
The role in partnership with our Creative Director will support our commitment to tackling inequalities, to unleash the limitless imaginations of our young and diverse population, to evidence the positive changes that arts and culture can make in everyone’s life and to change perceptions of Bradford in the UK and around the world.
As Bradford 2025’s Executive Director you will lead on administrative work including finance, staff development, HR, research & evaluation and administrative teams and freelance staff. You will also work closely with senior colleagues in production, production management and commissioning. Working with other colleagues, you’ll also be a public face of the Trust, attending key cultural and networking events, hosting visits to the district and supporting fundraising and partnership development.
