Description
Child Criminal Exploitation Coordinator
PO5: £46,392 pa inc LW rising in annual increments to £49,428 pa
Fixed Term/Secondment: 2 Years
We want Lambeth to be one of the safest places for children and young adults to grow, develop and thrive. Can you help us deliver our vision?
We are developing new ways of working with children, young adults, families, and communities across Lambeth, to address the risks they face outside of their homes. We are setting up a new contextual safeguarding service hub to work with partners to realise this vision. The service has three teams, all working closely together, while focussed on delivering measurable change in their specific areas.
The Knowledge Centre will lead on data intelligence and analysis; quality assurance, training and good practice; Partnerships and Relationships; the Multiagency Exploitation & Violence Panel (MAVE), facilitating information sharing; and providing expert consultations for individuals, locations and peer groups at risk of criminal or sexual exploitation.
You will be a skilled children’s social care professional, passionate about safeguarding children and young adults from exploitation, with strong knowledge of the arrangements for safeguarding children and young adults, together with a proven ability to work with and maintain excellent partnerships. You will be the named operational lead ‘champion’ and single point of contact within Lambeth Children’s Services for any suspected or potential child criminal exploitation (CCE) occurring within the borough and for Lambeth Looked After Children placed out of borough.
The ideal candidate will have a real passion and will be someone with appropriate experience and strong knowledge of the arrangements for safeguarding children and young adults, together with a proven ability to work with and maintain excellent partnerships.
This is an essential role within the new hub, with the postholders having the confidence and credibility to work with multiple stakeholders to meet the needs and expectations of a diverse borough.
Successful candidates will be asked to apply for an Enhanced Certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Further information about the DBS can be found atwww.homeoffice.gov.uk/agencies-public-bodies/dbs
