Description
Dedicate Recruitment is working in partnership with this growing multi-academy trust in Slough, for a group of schools including primary and secondary with a Christian ethos, in the appointment of a Finance Manager.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance function of the Trust, together with line management of a small finance team.
Responsibilities include:
- Support the Finance Director in providing accurate and timely information and reporting for the schools within the Trust
- Preparing relevant statutory compliance documentation and submissions for their schools in line with the requirements of regulatory bodies and agencies
- Day to day management of the Trust's finance systems and associated processes, with oversight from the FD, including undertaking monthly reconciliations
- Production of accurate and timely management accounts for each school on a monthly basis
- Provision of financial information and advice to the Head Teacher at each of the Trusts' schools
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations Monitor budgets including income and expenditures Oversee and line management of the payroll function
- System: SIMS/FMS
The successful candidate will be a qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW) or offers extensive schools finance experience and will take responsibility for all financial processes including bookkeeping and management reporting.
The role requires a high level of numeracy and analytical skills, together with strong verbal and written communication skills. You will be forward-thinking with excellent time management and an ability to prioritise work effectively. You must be able to demonstrate that you can work flexibly and efficiently in a busy and fast moving office environment.

This is a full time role, hours of work Mon - Thurs 8am - 4.30pm, Friday 8am - 4pm (37 hours per week) and 52 weeks of the year, on site. No hybrid working available.
