Experienced Mental Health Support Assistant or Graduate with a passion for Mental Health to apply!
Do you have previous experience supporting children with Mental Health? Do you have a First-Class Psychology related degree from a top 20 UK university?
This great Primary School in Enfield are looking to take on a Mental Health Support Assistant from September for a year long contract. This role would suit a recent psychology graduate who is looking to gain first-hand experience working with young people with Mental Health needs.
Your role as a Mental Health Support Assistant will be to promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom. You will promote independence to the students and work on strategies to recognise and reward achievement. Within your role as a Metal Health Support Assistant you will help students to develop resilience and independence both in their learning as well as relationship building with other students and staff.
- First-Class Psychology-related degree or extensive Mental Health Support experience
- Great Primary School in the Enfield Area
- Mental Health Support Assistant
- Previous experience supporting children with Mental Health, in a school or otherwise, is desirable but not essential
- Monday-Friday, 8:30-4pm - Full Time
- £20,520.00 pro rata, paid weekly on a PAYE basis
- Mainstream Primary in Enfield
A key part of a Mental Health Support Assistant role is to be the secure person for a designated group of students by supervising and providing specialist support, always ensuring their safety and access to learning activities. You will assist with the planning and implementation of risk assessments, personal care and personal education and behaviour plans.
