About the role
They are excited to welcome an approachable, empathetic and knowledgeable Telephone Dementia Adviser to work on their Local Dementia Helpline based at their office in Horsham St Faith.
This is an amazing opportunity to have a rewarding and stimulating career providing support and guidance to people living with dementia and their carers. They strive to support people to maintain their independence and improve their sense of well-being, putting them in more control of their own lives.
As a Telephone Adviser you will be the first point of telephone or written contact for people affected by dementia who need support.
The service comprises of Dementia Support Workers and Admiral Nurses working together to support people affected by dementia across Norfolk and Waveney, assessing their needs and identifying desired outcomes. You will become an integral part of this team, where you will also excel at working on your own initiative, using your excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a demanding and rewarding workload.
In this role you will provide a highly responsive, individualised and empathic information, advice, support and signposting/referral service to people affected by dementia and memory loss symptoms.
