Our client has an exciting opportunity available for an HR Operations Manager to join their team based in Birmingham. You will join them on a full time, permanent basis ( 36½hours per week) and in return, you will receive a highly competitive salary of £30,909 - £33,357 per annum.

The HR Operations Manager Role:

This is a key role within the College and you will be relied upon to be a trusted advisor and source of expertise. It will be a challenging role that will require you to network and build strong relationships with managers.

Key responsibilities of their HR Operations Manager include:

  • Operating as a trusted partner delivering an operational HR Service
  • Ensuring effective communication in a coaching, supportive and challenging manner, ensuring managers are competent and confident in the application of HR policies and practices
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on HR issues including recruitment, disciplinary & grievance, sickness absence, HR Information & People Management issues
  • Working proactively with College managers to manage and reduce absenteeism
  • Supporting the HR Management team to manage people related issues ensuring appropriate processes, quality communication and support is delivered
  • Being responsible for supporting the HR Management team in managing an operational HR team, who are competent, fit for purpose, developed and motivated
  • Supporting the HR management team to ensure excellent practices are established and maintained
  • Ensuring continuous improvement and 'right first time' delivery of operational HR activities is achieved
  • Driving a proactive, customer focused way of working within the HR Team • Support the HR Management team on key strategic projects

What they’re looking for in their HR Operations Manager:

  • CIPD qualified (chartered member)
  • Demonstrable administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office packages and Management Information Systems
  • An awareness of current legal legislations
  • Demonstrable numeracy and literacy skills
  • Demonstrable record of working flexibly and using own initiative
  • Experience in working under pressure and to tight deadlines
