Shropshire Recovery Partnership is a countywide adult and young persons integrated service. The service offers one to one psycho-social interventions, group work programmes, clinical and criminal justice interventions.

We are looking for a motivated and committed Manager who has experience of leading teams within the drug and alcohol sector, who is both innovative and flexible to meet the needs of individuals that require our support.

You will be the responsible CQC manager to ensure safe and effective delivery, whilst working with the clinical lead to uphold organisational and national guidelines.

Safeguarding those we provide our services to, sharing your concerns and putting the right interventions in place is key to the success of this role. But you can't do it alone, you'll need an amazing team of people to support you and strong relationships with other agencies to deliver the comprehensive support needed by those using our services.

You will lead your team, providing development and clear direction aligned with the organisational aims and be a strong advocate for With You externally, maintaining and building our profile as you go.

There may be new business opportunities to pursue and support or a CQC visit to manage along the way. There's not doubt this is a challenging and varied role which can bring huge satisfaction from seeing your team progress and our service users move towards where they want to be.

Essential Skills:

To be able to carry out this role successfully, you will:

  • hold ONC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • have a formal management qualification or be committed to attain one
  • have a proven track record of managing and leading drug and alcohol or mental health services (or similar types of service)
  • be able to evidence effective management of a complex, multidisciplinary team
  • understand and have experience of using service user feedback to develop services
  • be able to manage your team's performance to high standard
  • have experience of an inclusive approach to your ways of working
  • be able to demonstrate prior success of working in partnership/joint ventures
  • have experience of effective budget management
  • be an effective leader of people, change programmes and relationships
  • have the ability to interpret data or evidence and use it to develop effective solutions
  • be able to manage your time, dealing with conflicting priorities with ease
  • be great at establishing rapport and credibility, using this to great effect
  • have a proactive, dynamic and determined approach which you can flex to suit the circumstances
  • be a good communicator (written and verbal) and be comfortable using IT and digital media
  • be able to work flexibly and travel nationally to attend meetings as required
