Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Institutional Funding Manager to join the team based in Cheadle, Greater Manchester/flexible with remote work in the UK. You will join on a full-time basis as part of an initial 1-year fixed term contract with a view to progressing into a permanent role. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £46-55k per annum.
Our client is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainable development programmes and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide.
As Institutional Funding Manager, the successful candidate will play an integral role in generating proposals for a range of donors, lead the management of grants and assist in growing relationships with institutional funding bodies. We are ideally looking to appoint somebody immediately to this role.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Institutional Funding Manager:
- Lead the development of high-quality concept notes, proposals, budgets and support documents Prepare and analyse donors’ funding priorities Oversee the management of contracts Identify and pursue new funding opportunities Manage relationships with existing donors, inputting into engagement strategies and undertaking regular communication with donors
What we’re looking for in a Institutional Funding Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in international development or relevant academic field Track record of writing successful large proposals for institutional donors and securing significant grants e.g. USAID, FCDO, UN agencies etc At least three years’ experience working with an internal humanitarian organisation/local NGO in a similar capacity Excellent writing skills Willing to undertake regular travel overseas Passionate and knowledgeable about the international development sector
