Description
IQ, the leading news and content platform for the international live music business, seeks a dynamic Media Sales Executive to play a pivotal role within its team.
Working closely with the Advertising Manager and Editor, the role stretches across our portfolio of publications and events, both in print and online. The position includes:
- Selling print and digital media across a series of new annual worldwide reports and publications.
- Cross-platform media sales across IQ’s print and digital formats, and events including the International Live Music Conference (ILMC) and International Festival Forum (IFF).
- Networking with key executives and influencers within the global concert and festival businesses.
- Building unique integrated marketing packages for clients, responding to their needs.
- Travel to events and festivals (both in the UK and abroad) as needed.
The live music industry is a people business so this role does not want or need a ‘hard sell’ or cold calling. We’re looking for a personable individual with sales experience that can make a name for themselves and make a genuine impact within a growing team and for the clients we work with.
Our chosen candidate will be:
- A self-starter who thinks creatively and independently.
- An experienced salesperson with at least two year’s experience, ideally with magazines across both print and digital.
- A natural communicator, good listener and skilled negotiator.
- A team player who loves live music (you don’t need to know the business, but a passion for music is key).
The role is based in our company offices in Kings Cross with some home working available.
