Description
Swansea Marina is seeking to appoint a Lock Master to join our team of water control equipment and moving structure operators.
The Lock Master will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Marina Lock, Marina Swing Bridge, Tawe Barrage Lock and the Trafalgar Swing Bridge. In addition, the Lock Master will be required to operate the Marina's mobile travel hoist, tractor towing trailer and other plant and equipment. The Lock Master position is a physically demanding role.
The post is based in a customer service orientated environment and will involve working a shift pattern including 3 out of 4 weekends & regular bank holidays. AM shifts start at 7am and PM shifts finish at 10pm.
A large proportion of the Lock Masters week will involve working outside in all weather conditions. The Lockmaster Post also involves undertaking safety inspections and report writing.
