Salary £31,000 - £35,000 per annum
The Royal Armouries is the United Kingdom’s national museum of arms and armour, and one of the most important museums of its type in the world. The role covers three very different sites – the Royal Armouries’ headquarters in Leeds, Fort Nelson in Hampshire and its collection and activities at the Tower of London, as well as the museums’ presence online.
This posts sits within the Public Engagement Department, this post reports to the Head of Marketing & Communications and involves the management of two Communications Officers.
This is a crucial role responsible for managing the Royal Armouries’ internal and external communications, ensuring messages are consistent and engaging.
You will have experience in or understanding of journalism, copywriting, editing, written communications gained through education or work experience. Also Extensive experience in analogue and digital communications, ideally in a cultural or visitor focused organisation.
The post will be based at the museum’s headquarters in Leeds with the possibility of flexible working from home.

This is a full-time, permanent position working 36 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, there will be occasional weekend, Bank Holiday and evening working.
