Our client is seeking a Cleaner to join their team at their exceptional comprehensive.
School Cleaner - Immediate Start
Oxford, OX2 7WP
Part Time, Permanent, (Term time only 37 weeks per year)
Grade 1 FTE = £18,333 (Pro- rated salary (12,051)
OCC Defined benefit pension scheme

This school is Oxford’s first new secondary school for over 50 years and opened in September 2019. When full, there will be approximately 1,200 students on the roll, of whom around 300 will be in the Sixth Form.
The successful candidates will have responsibility for general cleaning around the site this is a term time, part time (37 Weeks Annually) position.
Cleaner main duties and responsibilities:
- Clean all surfaces, fixtures and fittings
- Clean and disinfect all drink water stations
- Undertake the unblocking of toilets and sink drains
- Undertake special cleaning programmes during school closure or other designated periods inThe compliance with the specification for the premises
- Ensure the maintenance of a clean and orderly working environment
- Timely & accurate preparation of routine equipment/resources/materials as set out in instructions
- Undertake basic record keeping as directed
- Refill and replace consumables
- Report faulty equipment & other maintenance requirements to appropriate person
- Maintain the security of school premises by securing entrances/exits as appropriate and reporting potential security breaches
- Maintain and arrange orderly and secure storage of supplies
- Ensure cleanliness of equipment, check for quality/safety - reporting any faults to (a Senior Officer)
- Operate everyday equipment in accordance with instructions
Other Responsibilities:
- Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security and confidentiality, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
- Attend relevant meetings as required
- Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required
- Treat all users of the school with courtesy and consideration
- Present a positive personal image, contributing to a welcoming school environment which supports equal opportunities for all
- Comply with health and safety policies and procedures at all times
- Promote and ensure the health and safety of pupils, staff & visitors (in accordance with appropriate health & safety legislation) at all times
Working hours:
- 10 - 4:30 pm 30 minutes unpaid break 30 hours per week
