Description
Swansea is on the cusp of unprecedented levels of regeneration and development investment. Council led major regeneration projects at Swansea Central Phase 1, Kingsway and Tawe Riverside are already underway. Other transformational projects will follow as the private sector recognises the development and inward investment opportunities in Swansea. Key to the continued success of our city regeneration and the post-Covid recovery is the role of our planning service. The post Planning Officer is integral to achieving this success.
Swansea is a diverse area and as well as the City Centre, the area also includes Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a precious landscape whose distinctive character and natural beauty is so outstanding that it is protected for future generations. The Gower AONB was the first AONB to be designated in the UK.
The successful candidates will be responsible for the processing of planning and other applications, enforcement and appeal work, in a specified area of the City and County of Swansea. You will be required to deal directly with the public, potential applicants & their agents to deliver an efficient, effective & customer friendly planning service.
