Post: Communications Team Lead (internal title: Senior Officer, Communications)
Location: Our client is based in Amsterdam and supports fully remote home-working, as such this post is open to candidates based internationally
Working Hours: Full time, 36 hours per week with flexibility to condense into four days per week
Salary: €48,022.44 to €60,651.24 per annum. Please note, the salary is currently paid in euros with a move for hybrid staff to GBP towards the end of 2022. The charity has a mechanism to adjust for fluctuations in exchange rate.
Reporting To: Director of Partnerships and Communications
Charity People is delighted to be working with an international women's fund to recruit for a Senior Officer, Communications. A senior position within the organisation, the postholder will lead the Communications Team and report to the Director of Partnerships and Communications, undertaking the following core tasks:
- Bringing coherence and vision to our client's communications strategy
- Focus on developing the digital and campaign strategy
- Lead and manage the Communications team of three currently
- Provide overall management of all aspects of their integrated communications function including branding; PR and media; social media and web; on and offline e-zines and newsletters, blogs and corporate communications
- Work closely with fundraising to ensure that all communications and campaigns activity supports income growth by building, cultivating, stewarding and growing audiences
Our client is the oldest international women's fund in the world and is an amazing organisation working to ensure that feminist collective action led by women, girls, and trans and intersex people is resourced, supported and connected within and across social movements. With a head office based in the Netherlands (and a growing number of staff based remotely), the organisation uses their role as a feminist funder, their experience of supporting feminist activism, and their geopolitical location to mobilise and move funding to feminist initiatives and groups. They do this by working in partnership with other feminist organisations, women's funds, and social justice grant makers and donors.

- Highly skilled in digital communications with demonstrated success implementing a digital and campaign-driven communication strategy.
- Previous, demonstrable experience leading and managing a full-service communication team.
- Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with people from a wide diversity of backgrounds and cultures.
- An ability to work both strategically and operationally.
- Results orientated with the ability to take initiative, contribute actively to quick decision making, and to organise work efficiently and effectively.
- Professional experience with and responsibility for project management and budgets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including fluent in English
