To lead and manage a Year Group. To co-ordinate the College’s Pastoral Support Programme
To evaluate the effectiveness of form tutors by monitoring the distribution of achievement and behaviour points and communication home with parents.
To ensure the highest levels of pupil attainment via improvements in attendance, punctuality and behaviour.
To meet with parents, external agencies and others when requested to do so. Produce half-term reports demonstrating intervention strategies used and progress towards targets. To work strategically with students and parents to maintain low levels of exclusions from the College. To plan and deliver the SMSC provision through assemblies and coordination of tutorial time activities.
To manage, monitor and evaluate the College detention system. To promote positive attitudes, ambition and endeavor to maintain high expectations of students, parents and staff.
To participate in whole school self-evaluation.
To cover classes in the absence of a teacher.
To actively supervise pupils before school, break, lunch and after school as directed by the Leadership Group. Invigilation of examinations.
To work as directed by the Leadership Group to implement interventions with groups of individuals.
To manage and maintain the compilation of records, information and data and to produce reports for analysis. Any other duties as directed by the Headteacher or a member of the Leadership Group commensurate with the role.
