We are recruiting for 2x nursery assistant roles in a nursery situated within a Primary school.

Start date: Immediately or can be Sept 22

The nursery:

This nursery provides care from children ages 0-5 in and around Epsom - they have an excellent reputation in the local community and are Ofsted rated 'Outstanding'.

The nursery layout is open plan, so children can interact and play together throughout the day; this open plan environment aids transition, enhances the quality of children's social interaction, improves the speech development of younger children, enables play with siblings and allows children to take a personal journey on a pathway of discovery.

For babies, there is a separate area positioned centrally within the main nursery where babies can watch other children playing all around them. The spacious area has room for rolling and crawling and resources are rotated regularly to provide stimulation and interest. A baby gym allows babies to develop their climbing, standing and walking skills. Babies have designated baby staff who stay with them all day providing them with familiarity, stability and comfort.

The nursery has a sensory room, a separate sleep room, children's toilets, a nappy bathroom with access to a toilet for training and a large dining room. Children enjoy using an interactive smartboard and a mobile laptop.

The nursery also promotes the importance of outdoor play by having free flow to the outdoor areas all day long - they share excellent outdoor facilities with the school, including the farm, allotments, sports field, playground, activity maze and at Headley Drive, a short walk away, we have Nature World. We also have a secure outdoor play area and a large back garden. Children are encouraged to play outside all year round with our weatherproof canopy providing protection in all weathers.

The Role:

This is an all-year round role (not term-time), but at reduced hours:

• 9:00-14:00 2 days a week
• 9:00-18:00 3 days a week

This role would pay 19-20k a year.
